Literature Text

I sat on my bed, texting Ed.
How r u nd Alex? Ed asked. He knew I had liked Alex for awhile, and kept telling me I should tell Alex and just get it out of the way. That's how he did it with Michael. Ed just came by, took Michael out to dinner and they came back a couple. Easy.
I haven't told him yet... I was scared to tell Alex. He didn't know I was gay. Only Ed and Michael knew, and they promised to keep it a secret.
You should let him know b4 he gets to serious with his gf
I know. But she's here now... I can't
Wait til she leaves... we're coming over I stared at the last message. Coming over? What were they going to do? I wasn't sure I wanted Alex to know just yet.
"Hey Charlie!" Tori poked her head around the door frame. "I'm going to Tesco for Alex... Do you need anything?"
"No, I'm fine. Thanks, Tori."
"Alright... See you in about an hour." Now was the best time to come out of my room and get a cup of tea and something to eat. I hadn't wanted to go out and disturb Alex and Tori so I just stayed in my room.
"You know, Charlie, we are not forcing you to stay in there... You can come out and talk to us." Alex said from the couch.
"I know... I just don't wanna bother you guys."
"You wouldn't bother me. People I love don't bother me at all, not matter what they say or do." Alex said, standing up and following me into the kitchen. I stopped in my tracks.
"Did you just say you love me?" I asked, making sure I heard right and not being overrun with my obsession with Alex.
"Yeah, of course, just like you love me. Best mates." Alex said, stepping out from behind me to look me in the eye. "What were you thinking?"
"That you fancied me..." I said, barely audible.
"That I what?" Alex said, a look of confusion spread across his brilliant face.
"Nothing... Want a cuppa tea?" I said, quickly trying to change the subject.
"Really, Charlie... What was it? You know you can tell me anything, right?" Alex put his arm around my shoulder and guided me to our little table. "I'll go make the tea, you sit here and sort things out. When I get back, be ready to tell me." He said, and left me at the table with my thoughts. I sat there and listened to him rummaging around in the kitchen.
Ok... I thought to myself He's ready to listen to me now. I should tell him before I lose my chance.
No! You can't do that... My brain fought back. What if it scares him? What if he leaves me because I know he's straight, he won't want me anyway.
No, Charlie. Don't think that way! My heart fought back. Alex will always be there. No matter what. I heard him starting out of the kitchen. I shut my eyes and he placed a mug on the table and sat in the seat across from me, pulling his knees up and taking a sip of tea.
"So, it's time for Dr. Phil, Alex style." He said, laughing at his own humour. His laugh made a smile play across my lips, and my hearts skip a beat.
"I knew that would get you... Stupid American therapy shows... So, Charlie, what's the matter?" I opened my mouth and took a deep breath. I had to get it out. Had to.
"I know you're probably not going to want to hear this-"
"I'll listen to whatever you say, Charlie, trust me." Alex stretched his hand across the table, letting his slim fingers entwine with mine. I knew he wouldn't feel the million volts running through me, but it happened. There was the spark.
"Well, Alex. IthinkIfancyyou... Quite a lot actually. Ed and Michael know and they have been encouraging me to tell you for awhile, but-but I was too scared that I would lose you. And you have Tori, and I know you love her so much, so I didn't want to tell you-" I was interrupted by Alex's lips pressing against mine. The spark practically blew me away. I had always imagined this moment, but I never let myself dwell on it because I was sure that it would never happen. I tentatively used my tongue to stroke his bottom lip, asking for entry, wishing with all my heart that it could be granted. GRANTED! All that ever wanted, right at my finger tips...
"Alex! You'll never guess what happened! I got halfway to the Tesco and- Oh my God! ALEX?!" Tori gaped at us. Alex's hand around the nape of my neck, my arms snaked around his slender shoulders.   I opened my eyes to see Alex, kneeling on the table, size 27 jeans and everything.
"Uh, Tori. I don't think this is the best time..." Alex started. I detached myself from him, looking down at my hands, wishing that short moment could have lasted longer.
"I came back to get my money to walk in on my boyfriend and his flatmate MAKING OUT OVER A TABLE!" She came over and I thought she and Alex were going to have another row, but instead, she kissed his cheek and handed him a box. She looked at me and said,
"Finally, Charlie McDonnell. You did it."
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, completely dumbfounded.
"Later, when Ed and Michael come around, we'll explain it. For now, though, I'll run out and get some Chinese food, so you guys can, uh, play with the box..." She turned and walked out, grabbing her wallet from the couch.
"Bye, lover boys..." She said, and shut the door, leaving me to stare at Alex. The box was wrapped in TARDIS blue paper.
"Shouldn't we open it?" my curiosity killing me. Alex looked at me and gave me a seductive grin.
"Of course, but we need to get a room."

This is seriously the best set up for a slash. With Alex getting a pretend girlfriend to pressure Charlie into things? I adore this! Part two soon, please!
